How to Install Titanium Kodi Build

Kodi has an internal security feature that is meant to discourage users from installing third-party addons or builds, as they might be potentially dangerous. That’s just a cautionary measure though. It is okay to install the items on Kodi that you know aren’t harmful. Titanium Build for Kodi is one of them. We have tested and used it for long enough to vouch for its credibility.

To start Titanium Build, we will allow Kodi to install the third-party builds. Here is how it will be done:

Step 1: When you launch Kodi what you see is the home screen. On this screen, you will find the Setting icon on the top left corner. Click this icon

Step 2: You will now see the options related to Settings. Go ahead and open System Settings icon

Step 3: Select or click ‘Add-ons’ among the options on the left sidebar. The right side of the window will popular with the related options and Unknown Sources is one of them.

If this option is disabled/OFF, toggle its switch and turn it ON

Step 4: Kodi will warn you of the potential risks of turning it ON. Kodi Titanium Build is safe. Click ‘Yes’ and ignore the warning

You have now set up Kodi to install the Titanium Build. You will now see how to go about it.

There are plenty of steps ahead. Even though the method is simple, some users may get confused, especially the beginners. I did when I was new to Kodi.

To make things simpler, I am going to break down the installation process in four different parts as follows:

Point Kodi to the Titanium Build source
Use the source to install the Supreme Builds repository
Install the Supreme Builds Wizard addon from the above repository
Use the above Wizard addon to Install the Titanium Build on Kodi

Now, I will take you through each part one by one and in the same order as outlined above.

Part 1: Point Kodi to the Titanium Build Source

The installation files reside on a server. The idea is to point Kodi towards the server. Here is how it goes:

Step 1: Click Settings again when you are on the Kodi home screen

Step 2: Locate File Manager icon and click it

Step 3: You should see Add source on the subsequent window (as shown in the image below). Go ahead and click it

Step 4: This is the window that you see next. Click the <None> option around the middle of this window

Step 5: Enter the following URL: http://repo.supremebuilds.com

Please type the URL exactly as I have provided and then hit ‘OK’

Step 6: Enter the name ‘supreme’ in the field where it asks you to enter the name for the media source (see image below).

Note: You may type in any name of your choice you want to identify the above source with

Hit the OK button again

This part ends here as we have added the source

Part 2: Use the source to install the Supreme Builds repository

Let’s now install the Supreme Builds repository. The steps are as follows:

Step 1: You want to be on Kodi home screen again for this one. Click ‘Add-ons’ when you are there (it is on the left)

Step 2: Click the ‘open-box’ like icon on the top left of the following window. It is popularly known as Package Installer icon

Step 3: Next screen shows these options. Click ‘Install from zip file’

Step 4: Click the name you typed earlier while adding the source.

As you can see, the name ‘supreme’ that I chose is on the list.

Step 5: Click the zip file named repository.supremebuilds-x.x.x.zip

Step 6: Wait for about a minute or two and you should see the repository installation notification on the upper right of Kodi (see the image below)

That installs the Supreme Builds Repository. Let us now move on to the next part.

Part 3: Install the Supreme Builds Wizard addon from the repository

Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Go to Kodi home-screen

Step 2: Click ‘Add-ons’ again

Step 3: Click the open-box icon one more time

Step 4: When you are back on this window, open ‘Install from repository’

Step 5: Open Supreme Builds Repository

Step 6: Open Program add-ons next

Step 7: Click Supreme Builds Wizard

Step 8: Click ‘Install’

Step 9: In about two minutes (or even less), the installation notification will appear on the top-right again saying Supreme Builds Wizard was installed

Now, we are going to learn to install Titanium Build on Kodi

Part 4: Use the Wizard to Install the Titanium Build on Kodi

Please follow the steps below:

Step 1: When you first install Supreme Builds Wizard, a bunch of pop-ups appears on the screen. When the first pop-up appears, click ‘Dismiss’

Step 2: The second pop-up will ask you if you wish to enable any settings. Make your choice or leave it be. Click ‘Continue’

Step 3: Another popup will show with two buttons – Build Menu & Ignore

Clicking ‘Build Menu’ will lead you to the list of the available builds and you can proceed with the installation of Titanium Build. Jump to Step 8.

If you click ‘Ignore’ the next steps will show you how to get to the build menu from the home screen of Kodi.

Step 4: Go to the Kodi home screen and again click ‘Add-ons’

Step 5: Click Program Add-ons on the left.

Step 6: Open Supreme Builds Wizard addon from the list

Step 7: Click ‘Builds’ option

Step 8: You are now in the Builds Menu. You can see Titanium Build right around the top.

You can install the build from any of the three available servers you like. Remember when you are choosing the server, try to pick the one closest to your physical location if possible. Also, if one server doesn’t work, try another.

I am proceeding with Server 1

Step 9: On the next window you see the following three options:

Fresh Install
Standard Install
Apply guiFix

Ignore the 3^rd option. It doesn’t concern us. We need to choose between the first two. Fresh Install erases your existing Kodi data and installs Titanium Build for Kodi with a clean slate. You will lose all your settings, add-ons etc.

Standard Install supposedly retains your existing Kodi addons and data. I have often seen that this option doesn’t work. Therefore, I recommend Fresh Install. And, anyway, Titanium will get you preinstalled addons.

It is up to you what you choose. I am going ahead with Fresh Install

Step 10: As expected, Kodi wants you to confirm if you are okay resetting Kodi. Click ‘Continue’ to allow the installation to proceed

Step 11: Wait out the installation. It may take several minutes depending upon the device specs and internet bandwidth

Step 12: Click ‘Force Close’ (recommended) next. Clicking ‘Reload Profile’ crashes and force closes Kodi anyway.

You may try reloading the profile if you like though.

Go ahead and relaunch Kodi. This is how the home screen will look like with Titanium Build installed.

Titanium Build, a Quick Overview

If this is your first encounter with Titanium Build (or for that matter any Kodi build), I thought a quick overview would be good. Allow me to introduce you to the basics to get you started.

The home screen of Kodi looks completely different with Titanium Build as compared to the default Kodi interface.

As you can see, the menu items are arranged through the middle of the screen instead of being laid out on the left as is with the default Kodi skin.

Cycle through the menu and you will find options like Movies, TV Shows, IPTV, Sports etc.

When you select an option in the menu bar, say Movies, its submenu appears just below it. And, underneath the submenu are the associated addons that Titanium Build for Kodi has come preinstalled with.

Just go ahead and click the addon and start watching your favorite titles or episodes
