Exodus is a name to be reckoned with in the Kodi Community. It won’t be wrong to term it as the mother of all Kodi addons. Exodus Kodi Addon has been there ever since I remember using Kodi and most of the current-gen Kodi video add-ons like Covenant, Incursion, Genesis Reborn, and many others happen to be forks or sub-forks of Exodus.
Exodus is one of the oldest and most reputed Kodi Video Add-ons currently out there and boasts one of the largest media libraries. The amount of content offered by Exodus is so exhaustive that there is hardly any movie or TV Show that you won’t find on Exodus. It has a great collection of vintage classics as well as the latest releases. Everything is neatly arranged under different categories and sub-heads and the UI is superb. Most of the links work fairly well and the Addon still receives the updates. If you haven’t given Exodus a shot yet, I will highly recommend you to do so right away. Without further ado, let us begin.
However, before starting off with the installation of Exodus Kodi Addon, you must first turn ON installation from Unknown Sources. Just navigate to Settings > System Settings > Add-ons > Unknown Sources and then turn it ON. You can ignore this step and jump to step 1 if you have already done this.
STEP 1: Launch the Kodi Krypton 17.6 application on your device and open Settings (bolt-icon located on the top-right of the window) as shown in the image below.
STEP 2: Head to File Manager and open it.
STEP 3: Now double-click Add Source to open it. A new window will open up. Just click on None. Now you’ll be asked to provide pathname/URL of the Repo and the media source name. For pathname, just type http://lazykodi.com/ and click OK.
STEP 4: For media source name, just type Lazy as shown in the image below. Now before clicking OK, make sure that you have written the URL/pathname correctly. Only then, click OK. As soon as you click OK, the Repo source will be added.
STEP 5: Now head back to the main menu. You can do this by pressing backspace a few times on PC. Once you’re back to the main menu, select Add-ons as shown in the picture below and open it.
STEP 6: In the Add-ons menu, open Package Installer (the open-box icon located on the top-left of the window) as shown in the image below.
STEP 7: Now click open Install from Zip File and then select and click on Lazy.
STEP 8: A new window will open up now. First of all click-open Lazy and then select ZIPS and then just click open KODIBAE.zip. This will begin the installation of the Kodi Bae repo on your Kodi and you will soon see a notification for the same on the top-right of your Kodi window.
STEP 9: Head back to the previous menu and click open Install from Repository and then select Kodi Bae Repository from the list of installed Repositories as shown in the image below.
STEP 10: Now open the Video Add-ons folder.
STEP 11: Scroll through the list of Video Add-ons offered by Kodi Bae and locate Exodus.
STEP 12: Once you have located Exodus, just open it and click Install as shown in the image below.
Voila, you are done. This will begin the installation of Exodus on your Kodi device and soon you will get a notification on the top-right of your Kodi Window regarding the successful installation. The Exodus Addon option will now automatically appear in the Addons menu of your Kodi Krypton 17.6 and you can access it from there. Now just sit back and enjoy the vast ocean of content offered by Exodus. Happy Watching!!!
Many users have reported facing issues with installation and playback. Few of the common errors are:
- No Streams Available
- Web Request Failed
- Check Log error
- Excessive Buffering
No streams available is a very common and often frustrating error. It creeps up every now and then. The best solution which I found for this error is Real Debrid. Just get Real Debrid for your Kodi and you will never run short of streams. Real Debrid collects streams in different resolution options from tons of sources and brings them at your disposal.
Another fairly common error is the Web Request Failed error. You might have encountered this while trying to play a live stream. This usually happens when the RTMP Input is not enabled in your Kodi. You can simply enable it by navigating to Add-ons menu>My Add-ons> VideoPlayer InputStream>RTMP Input> Enable.
Other common errors are the Check Log error and the frequent buffering. These can be fixed by clearing cache by the Addon menu of Exodus. After clearing cache, just restart your Kodi and open Exodus. Hopefully, you won’t get the check log error now. Furthermore, make sure that your Exodus Kodi Addon is updated to the latest version so as to ensure smooth playback and a better number of working streams. You can also get a good VPN as it helps with accessing more streams. Many streams are geo-restricted and a VPN might help you in accessing those. However, please make sure that the content you are going to access is not prohibited by your ISP or your local government. Else you might get in trouble.
All the above steps have been personally tried and tested by me. All the links in this tutorial are perfectly working and if you closely follow the above-mentioned instructions, you are good to go. However, if you still face any problem while installing Exodus Kodi Addon your Kodi device, feel free to drop your queries in the comment section below. I will get back to you ASAP. Adios.
