Covenant is one of the most popular Kodi Addons currently out there and in this tutorial, I will show you how to install Covenant on your Kodi Krypton 17.6 in some very easy to follow steps. All the links are working perfectly and have been tested as of this writing.
Covenant emerged on the scene after the sad demise of Exodus which is often known as the Mother of all Kodi Add-ons. Exodus came from the same developer Lambda and was thus hailed as the official successor of Exodus. That was long ago and much water has gone down the bridge since then. Covenant is a now itself a name to reckon with in the Kodi community and there will hardly be any hardcore Kodi user who hasn’t used Covenant at least once.
Covenant has a very simplistic and user-friendly UI. But what makes Covenant stand tall among other Kodi addons is the sheer enormity of its media library which is just baffling. There is hardly anything which can’t be found on Covenant. Covenant has an exhaustive library of all the old and latest movies and TV Shows. If it is there on the internet, you’ll find it on Covenant; that’s the sheer number of contributors at Covenant. Take my word, you won’t be disappointed.
Well, now without any further ado, let’s delve into how to install this amazing Kodi Video Addon on your Kodi Krypton 17.6. There are basically two methods to install any addon on Kodi. One is the URL method (adding source Repo) while the other is directly downloading ZIP file methods. The URL method works flawlessly on most devices like Amazon Fire TV Stick, PC (both Mac and Windows) and smartphones alike. So here’s how to install Covenant on your Kodi in some super easy-to-follow steps:
(Note: In case you haven’t already turned ON installation from 3rd party sources, you might be asked to do so. You can easily do so. You’ll get a prompt and you’ll be directed to Settings where you just need to turn ON installation from Unknown Sources)
STEP 1: Open up the Kodi Application on your device and head to settings. You will find the settings icon on the top left corner of the windows. Just click open it.
STEP 2: Now head to the File Manager icon as shown in the picture below and open it.
STEP 3: The next step is to click open “Add Source” as shown in the picture below.
STEP 4: As soon as you click open ‘Add Source’, a dialog box will appear. Just select ‘None’ there. Now a new menu will open up prompting you to provide the pathname/URL. Just type http://kdil.co/repo/ in the box as shown in the picture. If this link doesn’t work, you can try the alternative link to the Kodil repo: http://www.Ivtvv.com/repo/
STEP 5: In the box of Media Source Name, just write Kodil as shown in the image below. Now check everything very carefully. Check whether the URL is correct or not and then proceed by selecting OK.
STEP 6: Now head back to the main menu. You can do that by pressing the backspace key a few times. Once you’re there, open the Add-ons menu as shown in the image below.
STEP 7: Select the Package Installer option. You will find it as the open-box icon on the top-left of the window.
STEP 8: In the next window, select Install from Zip File
STEP 9: Once you open Install from Zip File, you’ll have to locate Kodil.zip and then click OK. Once you do that, the installation of the Repo will begin.
STEP 10: Again head back to the previous menu and this time select Install from repository as shown in the image below.
STEP 11: Locate Kodil Repository in the next window and open it. Now select Video Add-ons
STEP 12: Once you do that, a list of Kodi Add-ons will appear. Just scroll below, till you locate Covenant. Once you have found Covenant, just click open it. This will begin the automatic download of Covenant. Once it gets downloaded, you’ll get a prompt to install it. There will be few warnings as well. Just ignore the warnings and go ahead with the installation process.
STEP 13: Voila. Covenant has been successfully installed on your Kodi Krypton 17.6. Now you can just sit back and enjoy the ocean of great media content offered by Covenant on your PC, Smartphone or Amazon FireStick TV.
Many users are currently reporting that Covenant is not getting updated regularly as it earlier used to be. Many of the streams don’t work properly and it is often frustrating at times. Often users are facing the issue of “No Streams Available”. This issue can, however, be simply resolved by getting Real Debrid on Kodi. Real Debrid brings a ton of working streams for any video that too in HD quality so that you never have any dearth of the working streams.
Furthermore, getting a good VPN also resolves many issues as many links are blocked by the local ISPs. Also, please update your Covenant Kodi Add-on to the latest version as this often helps in resolving streaming and other buffering issues.
Another irritating error which often creeps up is the Web Request Failed error. Users often encounter this error while trying to play live streams. This happens when Kodi fails to read the file format or script. This issue can be solved by enabling RTMP input. You can do this by navigating to Add-ons menu>My Add-ons> VideoPlayer InputStream>RTMP Input> Enable.
